i always thought the skies in daikatana looked really cool, they were basically a fusion of quake 2/hl1's skyboxes with quake 1's scrolling skies. so i did something like that in my quake engine game :3 (hl1 skybox textures used for testing) #quake #indiedev #gamedev

vhlt compiled maps work in quakespasm i'm so excited (ignore the hl1 zombie model, that's a placeholder)

(nearly) everything from old chocolate quake based version of my game has now been ported over to shiny new quakespasm fork :3

switching the game to quakespasm, first off i wanted to ditch lmp in favor of tga's for graphics (like menu, hud, etc.) weirdly quakespasm already supports loading and drawing tga files, just only for map textures and stuff. so i made it so you can use tga's for gfx too

i'm considering switching my quake engine game to quakespasm, while i like the software look a lot i also really want to have colored lighting and stuff
