Well I'll be, they actually did it! 27 days after the second CDOT sign said the racks would be replaced, they finally are! Hallelujah! And, somehow, the bike that was there throughout, with "warning, will be removed" notices to boot, is... Locked to the new rack!? 🤷

CDOT just installed new bike parking at Promontory Point! We worked with the Alderman to bring this much needed amenity to the Point. Just in time for this beautiful weather.

Between yesterday afternoon and today, all the new bike rack pads at the Point got filled! The problem one, however, is still a problem (day 25 and counting)

24 days after spring CDOT signage was posted (aka removal/replacement 2.0). Honestly, the bikers this 75° afternoon were very respectful of the bags! Just poking holes thru as necessary to lock 🤣

Hey CDOT, when you false flag and cover the bike racks w trash bags in Oct and tell ppl you're going to replace them but don't, then 6 months pass and you do it again but the date on the trash bag has come and gone by over a week again, people are just going to keep using the racks, as they should
