No, I do not. I avoid Ai "assisting" searches. I use reference material compiled by people. I work from my own head, heart & experience. When those aren't enough I reach out to other people. GenAi is the antithesis to writing. Creative, analytical, etc. It does not create. It vomits stolen talent.

It seems like a lot of older animation folk are trying to cash out instead of lead and mentor the next generation of talent as they navigate this difficult time.

The word “sellout” has kinda lost its meaning lately but I think we all need to bring it back full force to describe artists who sell their soul to corporate AI-slinging garbage machines for a fat stack of cash.

Every time someone big in the animation scene does something the rest of us can't forgive, there's always a bunch of people who leap to their defense and out themselves alongside them. Be prepared for some of your other heroes to join them. I can't really look past plagiarism, so goodbye to them 🤷

GenAI creators are not creators.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- the kids are all right. They've got more courage and moral clarity than most of the people in charge right now. Get out of their way and let them cook.

Fuck AI I want to see brushstrokes made by people, the little details drawn by a person. Ideas from a real, living mind I want to look at art and see the heart and emotions and years of practice and experiences poured into it. The personal way someone sees the world
