I'm sorry, but I just can't help getting really excited when I find more people playing the Mayor May Knott demo! I found 3 more streams tonight!

Mayor May Knott is a cute game that is going to live or die on whether it can keep its core loop of helping ghosts reach the afterlife, then donating their houses, feeling fresh. Big standout here is the OST. Collecting vinyls is core to progression, and each has a charming song recorded for it.

Mayor May Knott *was* very charming, though. Easily my fave for the night. I am not counting Vampire Crawlers. We all know about that one already.

Mayor May Knott bills itself as a sort of cozy horror game, and that’s not entirely wrong, but it has the kind of vibes that make me want to compare it to Telltale's early works (Sam and max, strongbad, etc.) Strong emphasis on contextual dot-connecting, character, and humor. It's cute

Next we checked out Mayor May Knott. This was such a cosy experience!! It's a cute horror themed town builder with a few little jump scares but a largely PG13 vibe. The @mayormayknott.bsky.social team have done a wonderful job making fun characters and a sweet story. I love the fishing minigame 💖

Nineteenth demo I checked out was Mayor May Knott by @mayormayknott.bsky.social Play as May Knott, a shy girl that has found herself a deed to a haunted ghost town. As a seedling mayor, clean up, build relationships, gain confidence, & bring happiness back to this dead town in this cozy horror.

I said this later in private to some friends, but Mayor May Knott gave me that real "shiny prerenders + esoteric weirdness" Dreamcast feel. I don't think I've ever embraced an allegedly horror game harder. You never knew WHAT the hell you were gonna see or talk to next. I'm a fan.
