What is the point of having a feature allowing people to flag their posts as sensitive media, if that sensitive media in question is a bannable offense? There's stuff I don't like seeing but those doing their part and properly flagging their posts so I don't see it by accident shouldn't be punished.

And PLEASE, let's stop using children as an excuse for everything. I am clear on this point. Children SHOULD NOT have social media accounts...

This is absurd. Eventually, all adult art will be restricted. It doesn't matter whether it's consensual or not. It's a clear threat to the future. What needs to be done is to expand the range of labels available and let the public choose what they want or don't want to see...

The solution right now is not saying “move to Mastodon, to Pillowfort, use Picarto galleries” etc, bc that won't stop this silent escalation of censorship and sexual repression on the internet. The issue is not which platform we choose, but rather raising our voices against what is happening.

I know this is a dark time for the arts but I also want to let you know that there are lots of creatives that are doing well! When I reach out to hire artists I OFTEN get turned down b/c they are booked solid, or swamped with work. It's not a hopeless field! People need art and we shouldn't give up!
