Dragon Quest 1 (the Non-HD versions) is so funny when you realize it's a sequel to a mystery game and not an RPG. It's a game about questioning NPCs and solving puzzles Folks of my generation used to kvetch about "talking to every NPC" but that comes from this where the NPCs are the core gameplay

I picked up a physical copy earlier this year and was just smitten by the quality of the book, pages, etc. It feels like it reads, and it reads like Oregon Trail by way of Ghibli. Just a really pleasant TTRPG book to read through.

It's impressive that Charlie Brown Christmas has such a shoestring budget and such sparse animation but still works and is timelessly charming. It really doesn't need anything flashy (it would miss the point). Its just very economical in how it gets away with the bare minimum drawings.

I've done tons of technical illustrations for scientists and engineers and if they're too proud to bust out a napkin or dry erase, they'll diagram it out in PowerPoint. It's just faster than explaining it. Artists love doing redraws and if your foundational idea is good they'll elevate it.
