"Win or Lose" is so charming and imaginative. It's disappointing to lose a positive LGBTQ storyline that might have helped kids & families, and it's a bummer we won't see more Pixar shows. It makes sense if they want to focus on films, but I wonder what kinds of things we're missing as a result.

Pixar no longer allowing mentions of DIVORCE is wild. Makes it relatively impressive in retrospect that Win or Lose got away with addressing divorced parents, teen moms, religious references, etc. even if they had to replace the trans story with a silly "baseball-to-softball" metaphor.

I gotta say that I'm not a big fan of the Pixar/Disney Bean Mouth style they've been using of late. I loved the human character style they started in The Incredibles. This new style looks like Lucca, Big Red, Win or Lose and Elio characters are all in the same film. I want unique design.

In light of Elio's release and a certain YouTube video, allow me to present the hot take you're scared to accept exists. Don't get me wrong, I love all of these, though I've yet to watch Predator: Killer of Killers, Elio, and Win or Lose, but I hate the hypocrisy within this community just as much.

I’ll be passing on this Pixar movie because we have no way of knowing who executives erased from the story. Did they cut a trans story (like they did in Win Or Lose,) queer representation (like they did in Elio,) or are they breaking new ground in bigotry by cutting screen time for some other group?
