Morning lakeside walks have truly improved my life. How did I ever live without being situated between 145,628,829 bodies of water?

someone once pointed out that the classic cartoon ghost is actually a representation of a body in a funeral shroud. I'd never realized this! but can't unsee it.

I spent some time today browsing through the hundreds & hundreds of new (to us) image cuts at Skeuomorph & pulling out my favorites. There are so many options, but the winner may be this little frog riding his velocipede

I think Canada geese are rather pretty; that is, when they’re not actively hunting you for sport.

Seems as good an excuse as any to share that one Brautigan poem that lives permanently rent free in my head.

Traditionally mass market paperbacks have retailed at about the same as one hour of minimum wage work. These retail at $17.99, which is what minimum wage SHOULD be (at least) if minimum wage had kept pace with inflation. So I think the price is right but our wages aren’t.

I remember showing an intern my big ass rolodex (you entire career for a publicist). She said what does it do? It's my iphone address book I struggled, spun it around, picked out a card and threw it in the recycle bin. "Who was that?" Oh, he's dead.

It’s warm enough to get back to garage projects! I am thisclose to getting the victrola working again, but I bought the wrong size replacement arm and all the teflon tape in the world couldn’t fix it. However, it held long enough so I could crank it and hear sound, so I’m feeling hopeful.
