Another childhood nightmare toy from Paul Winchell. This was a beanie hat with a plastic ventriloquist dummy face on the top. The mouth was hinged and gently opened and shut like one of those car dogs that bobbed its head as the car moved. Perhaps scarier for an adult looking down on it.

Ventriloquist Paul Winchell had some of the most deranged merchandise for kids. This is Ozwald Berwin from 1961. The idea was to paint eyes and a nose on your chin, and then put on a mask that made your mouth Ozwald's. The set came with a mirror that allowed you to watch yourself upside down.
