This video is well worth watching. It's a balanced, real-world look at the effectiveness of AI (across many disciplines, not just software dev) and its impact on work, substantiated by a well-designed study that actually compares UI to human workers.

AI Fails at 96% of Jobs (New Study)
Artificial intelligence has been hailed as one of the most transformative technologies of the century. That may be so, but just not yet. In this episode, we take a look at a study that pits humans directly against AI for paid work. The results were surprising. Study here: https://www.remotelabor.a

"Gartner predicts that by next year, half of the companies that fired workers for AI are going to hire them back. Also, 9 months ago, Microsoft…proclaimed that 30% of their code was written by AI, and since then, we've seen some of the worst software issues at the company in its history." 1/2

OH, Look! Another game translated by magic! This right here is quite dangerous in these times. Why? By erasing us translators from our jobs it makes it easier to replace us with GenAI. We've always been invisible. That gave them a leverage in introducing MTPE and lowering our rates.
