And now its time for everyone's favorite game, the Supidest Bill of the Day. Today we have a bill obliterating checks and balances, because courts being able to say a law is unconstitutional is very inconvenient to a legislature that would like to pass unconstitutional laws.

This is the sort of statement that was expected from every university president and law firm partner over the last year. That those statements weren’t made played a huge part in where we are now and people will remember.

Those who see that they can make you believe atrocities are okay or even good because of what the law says, have every incentive to make the laws atrocious.

Can't believe I have to say this but don't use slurs! Why would it be acceptable at any event, let alone a faith-focused event, to use that kind of language? My youth pastor would've kicked my butt outta the youth group real quick for that kind of behavior.

The panel ended up being a demonization of Vladeck for being the most moderate critic of courts around. It just ends up showing that these thin-skinned juristocrats consider themselves above even the most mild critique.
