Though delayed by my internship year, I have a new paper out in Journal of Psychopathology and Clinical Science! In this paper, we examine rates of inconsistency in lifetime reporting of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs) among youth in the ABCD Study!

Psychologists claim they are all for interdisciplinary science, but rush to say "this is outside of my area" at the slightest hint of being asked to engage with it. Even worse, these areas are quickly abandoned as the fads end, 'elite' labs flee, and the questions start getting mature and harder.

Since I was insufferable in my complaints here about my #APPIC materials, I feel it's only right to share that I have essays! They are drafted! Suddenly, I feel great! Relieved! I am sure that will change soon but for now, we are basking in the relief. (also this meme is not a challenge)

I love providing feedback on fellowship materials. It is such a privilege to learn more about others' paths and desires for their work and impact. It's also so fun to see how changes to framing can really make someone's story shine. I am also always reminded that the future of our field is bright ✨

I'm in an Office of Equity and Diversity Implicit Bias training and really appreciated this Grounding Awareness slide. I haven't seen this before in any trainings or spaces I've been in and I really valued the explicit acknowledgement of not wanting to "recreate these dynamics within this space."
