Tony Harrison RIP I taught Long Distance, his beautiful & honest poem about bereavement to my students for decades. Eventually, it provided consolation to me as well.

Among the greatest promotional photos of all time are these for the 1990 television movie of IT, where it looks like a prestige legal drama about a firm of hot young lawyers and one associate who likes to dress up like a clown.

Hugest of congrats to Robin on winning this. A great writer and performer, a total force for good and a rare beacon of light in am ever-darkening world. Absolutely delighted for the lad, and how refreshing to see one of the Good Guys get some recognition. Love to see it.

When Masha Ivashintsova died in 2000, she left behind boxes of belongings and memories, and over 30,000 negatives and undeveloped film. Much like Vivian Maier she hid her photographic talents from the world, never showing her work or considering herself an artist.
