A night of playtesting at the South London Playtest Group and had such a great evening. A really warm and welcoming group of people with wonderful designs, patient playtesting and clear and meaningful feedback. Always a joy and already can’t wait to get back!

Really fun day of gaming at Mid Sussex Meeples today with 8yo. We played Tenby and Fate of the Fellowship at 5p. Both lovely and a narrow victory in Fate of the Fellowship. Then some ridiculous mascot racing with a 6p game of Hot Streak which was lots of fun!

Played Hot Streak yesterday. It’s utterly ridiculous and absolutely brilliant!

Great Lewes Board Gamers game night to warm up for UKGE and the 8yo joined as it was half-term! Started with Moving Wild, the Fuji Flush, Fromage and Istanbul. Great mix of games. 8yo won Fuji Flush and Fromage so may not be inviting back 😅

Had a really fun time playing My Favourite Things published by @playforkeepsgames.bsky.social yesterday evening. A trick-taking party game where you play with a hand of another players’ favourite things of a particular topic which they have ranked. We had a brilliant time with so many laughs!

Buttons & Bugs is a fun, quick Gloomhaven that can play with 8yo and let him make decisions with providing a bit of help on the rules. A really little campaign to play together, second run through now with Mindthief

Had a really nice evening playing a few trick-takers this evening. American Bookshop is an all time fave, great to play Dog Tag Trick again which haven’t played for some time and Trickarus continues to get a lot of table time. Great evening!

Really enjoying LOTR Fellowship Trick-Taking, been played a lot over the past few days on family holiday. Also gave me a smile when I saw that Bill was a one trick pony… 🐴

Quick game of Cheez Tricks, a really fun trick taking game from Brazilian designer Mauricio Torselli. Capture different cheese cards, but be careful if the cats which you can capture with different tricks. Or capture all the cats for big point combos! Really fun and plays lovely at 2 player as well
