A method I've just witnessed of making people think you've used alt text: pasting your caption into it. Guys, come on. You might as well not use it so folks who need it don't either open your text like "Oh" or worse, a screen reader doesn't say, "Image:" and repeat EXACTLY what they've just heard.

Some will frame this as "bullying works", and I feel that is deeply disrespectful to why people were upset in the first place. It's not bullying to say you felt betrayed because the person you respected said one thing and did the exact ass opposite of another. Calling out hypocrisy isn't bullying.

There's a point where one can commit an act so flagrantly bad that a sudden turnaround does not deserve forgiveness on it's own.
