Prácticamente nadie en este lado del globo ha escuchado una sola palabra sobre el lugar, una remotísima isla del Pacífico con la población de un pueblo más bien pequeño. Y sin embargo son un país prácticamente independiente, con autogobierno desde hace medio siglo y, esto es lo más sorprendente, que mantiene relaciones diplomáticas con una treintena de estados de cuatro continentes, incluidos Estados Unidos, Francia, China o la India.
