Today is Trans Parent Day - a day to celebrate both parents who are trans and parents of trans people. It’s also an opportunity for us to speak about the pride we feel for our loved ones. We’re a group of parents of trans children and adults who care about their future.

Request for info: If you know of any organisation etc. which has announced publicly that it has changed its policies/practices as a result of the Supreme Court decision or the EHRC update - please comment it below. Trying to collate some of this.

My two daughters are adopted. I’m their mother but ‘biology’ has been used to try and discredit me as a mother. To try and make me feel ‘less’. I’m their ‘real’ mother because I raised them, loved them. I love my trans daughter and my cis daughter. We are all ‘real’. I send all my love too.

Today, the Trump administration is releasing a fake "report" about gender affirming care created by quacks so they can restrict access to care. It's going to be completely unscientific and unhinged and shouldn't be a afforded one iota of credibility.

I’m already hearing of cases where parents are complaining to school about trans kids using toilets and citing the Supreme Court. I’m waiting for it to happen at my daughter’s school. I’ve emailed the LGBTQ+ lead who I know will be fighting against any changes to their existing policy. 1/3

My trans daughter is borderline ADHD (paediatrician can’t conclude) but it has zero to do with her gender. My other cis daughter is autistic and it’s nothing to do with her gender either funnily enough.

Jacqueline Charlotte Dufresnoy (otherwise known as Coccinelle) was a French entertainer and activist. She began hormone treatment in 1952 & was one of the first people to undergo gender confirming surgery. Her marriage set the precedent that allowed trans people in France to legally marry. #LGBTHM

Me too. Early on when you don’t know where to turn for support. But most parents do enough research and have their children’s best interests at heart to see through this eventually. It’s just the transphobic ones who stay to listen further. And Wes Streeting 😡

Still the same outcome. Trans kids still exist and supportive parents will do anything to help their kids. The ones who suffer are the vulnerable without support or money.

Tag yrself, I'm "a transgender medicine academic". Incidentally, it wasn't much of a meeting. I was asked to present evidence for about 15 minutes, with time after for Q&A. I did this. The men on the panel (it was overwhelmingly men) stared blankly at me. One woman smiled. There were no questions.

I’m never going back! 😅
