It's weird how SCOTUS thinks states should determine who can get an abortion but not how people can vote

The language we use to describe campaigns & elections is broken. It is not a race. Nobody is “ahead in the polls”, preliminary or exit. Votes are cast, counted, & the winner is determined. Someone being “ahead” on the count, then losing, isn’t suspicious. That’s literally how counting works.

Something peculiar: Democrats by most accounts seem to have forced Republicans to blink (ie, pass a DHS bill without ICE funding and force them to pass ICE funding via reconciliation). Nevertheless, lots of folks seem to think Democrats caved. As a Republican once told me “take the damn win.”

The only way out of this is to tax billionaires, multi-millionaires and big tax-dodging multinational corporations.
