Last year, I picked up the Beasts of Burden Compendium and remembered how good that series was. So as I was taking a bit of a break on the site this week, it made sense to go back and see what I thought of the original Beasts of Burden collection. And now I want to read it all again.

Classic Comic Compendium: DREADSTAR RETURNS is a welcomed comics revival Jim Starlin's Dreadstar Returns is a very welcome comics revival story, one that picks up 25 years later without skipping a beat.

This whole thing is amazing but this part really sings.

"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know. This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

Finally got to see one of John Woo’s Hong Kong films on the big screen.

"I don't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign."

They don’t care. It’s not millionaires or their buddies that are being shot. They just don’t care.

These monsters are sick.

Reading this 8 year old story for the first time in 2026, it must have been signaling that we were on a slippery slope in 2018 but feels like a call to arms in now where it seem like we're battling the government on a daily basis.
