My trip through some of Matt Wagner's work this month leads to a comic that has haunted me since I was a kid. Grendel: The Devil Inside is unlike pretty much anything I'd ever read before and still stands out today. With brilliant claustrophobic art from Bernie Mireault, Joe Matt, and Bob Pinaha.
