Internet is still out. Thank goodness there's a movie collector and hundreds movies in my house! (That's probably a lowball estimate.) Somehow, neither of us have ever seen this? But it was a good deal, so now we have it. (And so it goes in this house.) Let's watch!

I set the afternoon aside to putz around/tidy the living room and watch the Bridgerton livestream... And boom, Verizon outage. (On top of the issues the stream itself seems to be having?) So much for the internet this afternoon! (My phone still has 5G, but J's says SOS...🤷🏼)

You don’t have to feel bad for not doomscrolling. We have to find pockets of joy in our lives, especially now. We can’t let our spirits be broken. Because do you know what people do whose spirits are unbroken? They resist tyranny. It’s okay to make sure you’ve got a life worth fighting for.

Back home safe and sound. I bought J (well...us, really) a soundbar for Christmas, so now it's all set up. J: We should put on a movie to test it out...? Me: Oooh oooh! Hold on, I know just the one!! 🎸 (Our 3D tv died sometime in...2017? 2018? RIP tv. 😭 But the movie still works just fine!)

There is a certain joy in getting to hear some Beastie Boys and Garbage on 96X while driving around Hampton Roads. It's nice that some things have stayed the same. 🤘🏼

lol good news, everyone! It's inconveniently large container of Danish Butter Cookies season at BJ's again! Last year, we picked them up for all the family's houses we visited. Never a bad thing to have for a full house, but a hilarious amount of cookies. This year, they are 4 lb instead of 3.😂

Mundane life update: I ducked out of the house because I was in desperate need of a cheeseburger. 🤷🏼 I have some other errands I can run while I'm out, but mostly it was the cheeseburger. There's one McDonald's near me (Kildaire Farm and Ten Ten), and their food is always 💯👍.

Back when I was in grocery land, I always had to work late on Thanksgiving Eve, and/or early the day after. So we usually just stayed home. One year, I was chatting with a customer about T-Day plans, and she said: Oh! It's just you and your person? You should have a Hanksgiving!" Me:...?

Also, J decided he really wanted to make cocktail meatballs, but when I shopped, the store was out of the right sized ones. My options were regular sized (like big ones for pasta), or "mini". I felt how small they were in the bag and burst out laughing in the middle of the frozen aisle.

We haven't had cable in years, and that's fine... But we do have an antenna! So we figured we'd put the Parade on while we mill around this morning. And the antenna was having a LOT of trouble finding WRAL. But eventually, it got it! There was the Mario float! ...

Hell yeah, almost a year to the day! This time it was a 9:30 showing, but we got together at 5:30 and rewatched the first one so it was fresh in our minds. So earlier, but also...longer. But it was great!

Finally got around to getting a flu shot this afternoon, and it's kicking my butt a little? Which isn't an abnormal side effect, but usually I do pretty well. Sometimes my arm gets a fever, which is silly and makes me laugh, but that's about it. But this time I want to curl up and sleeeeeep. 🤷🏼
