Ok…learnt something new to this morning. My USB-C battery decided that it would only be charged from my laptop, rather than charge my laptop. Pushing the power button on the battery for 5 secs toggled to charging the laptop. The battery’s USB-C power button changes charging direction! Who knew!

Took my last chance to get a solid set of images of NGC2024 last night, as it was so amazingly clear. This beautiful patch of sky is more or less vanishing for spring, not to return for some time, so I'm glad I did 🤩 (126/f7, about 4 hours of subs)

Solar gain is certainly warming the house up effectively today (all the temperatures shown are floor temperatures, not air temperatures). Energy usage is around 15kWh so far today since midnight & given that it was around 2°C overnight, I would guess most of that energy has gone to overnight heating

Ok, I've gone over to the dark side temporarily... After seeing posts on here about the tiny Cardputer running FT8, I had to give it a go. As of last night, there's an MD5Launcher compatible version of Mini-FT8 available on GitHub. It's pretty impressive and soooooo teenyweeny!

My son has expensive cologne habits…he must douse himself in his favourite scent (Frederick Malle’s Vetiver Extraordinaire) and at £250/bottle, goes through at least 2 bottles a year. My wife has just defended him however…and pointedly remarked that my own scent addiction is also not cheap😳🫢
