What a glorious day! Popped over to Old Warden for lunch, which is also a POTA, and managed a few diddle mode contacts. Bumped into Rob, M0ZPU too! Must get back up to speed with CW as it’s more fun than FT modes.

Artemis II is flying a very southern declination trajectory for most of the mission. Despite the extremely low elevation angles I received very useful data this morning. This was exactly the type of data I was hoping for to test new small dish cis-lunar tracking techniques.

So what’s going on here with respect to Artemis II? The mission is flying a northern hemisphere adverse trajectory. But as you can see from these early models it’s very dynamic. DSN activity schedule vs trajectory.

We are tracking
#Artemis
II with the historic Dwingeloo radio telescope. In the doppler shift of the carrier signal we see the manual manoevers that the astronauts perform while flying formation with the upper stage.

We're still tracking
