When I first got on BlueSky I used a bunch of starter kits, which meant I got some random UK journalists in my feed. Playing sports (poorly!) growing up made me a better friend, teammate, husband, dad and worker. I see the evidence almost every day. Heck I still play two days a week and it still teaches me lessons.
