Given the capitulatory pressure / temptation experienced by corporate media and institutions, there has arguably been no greater moment in recent history for us all to increasingly, vocally and materially support independent media.

That deafening silence is the collective roar of every free speech absolutist staying quiet while the government tells us what to say, what art is appropriate, who deserves to be on TV, and what books your kids can read.

The bad news: Legacy media outlets in America are bowing to fascism. The good news: You have another reason to break free of the remakes, reboots and nostalgia porn they sell you. Support indie creators.

AI is scraping our art and our humanity. AI "musicians" on Spotify; AI "writers" on Amazon. I simply don't understand why anyone would want to create something through prompts. That's not creation. Why not take the time and effort to learn to write, play music, etc.? Isn't that part of being human?
