Hot take! The USMNT win this without the Trump interference. They looked scared and Belgium looked more energetic than I have seen them in ten years. Anger can take you a long way.

Absolutely embarrassing performance. We are nowhere near the level of the good European teams.

Exactly. None of the merits or arguments matter anymore. He’s just ruined all of it. Like he does with everything.

FIFA rescinding the suspension does fall in line with the consensus of officials reviewing the process after the match. VAR should have never called the ref over to the monitor but the waters are muddied when media is told that the suspension wasn’t eligible for appeal.

In a weird way, having
@stlcitysc.com
has lessened how excited I am for the World Cup. This used to be the only chance I had to root for a team that was "mine." Now CITY fills that role and I care much less about the USMNT.

Genuinely believe we leave points on the table due to Lumiere’s sub strategy.

City should look down the street at what the Cardinals are doing. Play the young kids. See what you’ve got. Might surprise you. Will probably be more fun no matter what.

Tomas Totland would start for most teams in MLS but doesn’t for a team that has one win.

Call me old fashioned but if you are involved with coaching a team that gives up two awful set pieces like that… you aren’t taking the team plane home.

Yes, been saying this from the beginning. If he's just as dumb & crude & mean & violent as he looks ... what does it say about us that we let him prosper? I mean, even his pre-presidency life -- what does it say about our society that someone like that rose to the top?

I hate the too-cool-for-school attitude of dismissing this with a "but they won't." That is surrendering in advance. The pressure should be put on them, the message should be unrelenting that this is what must be done and they're the ones refusing to do it. Don't act like they don't have agency.

"What can Democrats do?" When the South Korean president attempted to declare martial law, South Korean lawmakers literally fought through tanks and military forces and climbed fences to get into their Parliament building to stop him. So, you know, that.
