It seems like at least in Splatoon 3's case they kept the input delay mostly the same and its just the new controller being built a bit better causing it to feel better. I can understand the limitations to balance cross console but I hope S4 cuts these numbers down. At least you can wire procon 2.

LANs are not prohibiting Switch 2 consoles because of input delay. They're banning it because switching between a Switch 1 dock and a Switch 2 dock nearly every time someone sits down will cause something to break & will cause delays. 1-2 Lite docks aren't a problem, but 50% on 1 and 50% on 2 is.

Today on I am an idiot: I managed to rip the click wheel connector off of my iPod mini’s logic board. Today on I am less of an idiot: I managed to fix it by tinning the pads… and then over tinning the pins to get enough heat into the joints, before removing the excess. It works now.

Can we please stop putting microUSB ports on new devices? It's literally the worst kind of USB port. Mini's not much bigger but is way more robust (despite the official figures) and USB-C is better in about every way.
