This is my version of January break: a couple of days spent in New Haven to delight in rare books research at the Beinecke! As a bonus, I also get to see a former student who is one of the dramaturgs for Steve Carter's Eden - it opens tonight at the Yale Rep. Feeling grateful!

Received a lovely thank-you from a student; it was cheering and inspiring. BEST of all is that their Christmas list included an edition of Spenser's FQ! We read a couple of cantos in different classes, but they wanted the full edition. Family thought they were mad. I am thrilled.
