Watching Northern Exposure and I think I've spotted a Calvino joke. In S5 ep17 a character is trying to learn Italian because she wants to read Dante in the original. But the 'Teach Yourself Italian' book she's bought turns out to be missing 6 pages so they call the publisher to get a complete copy.

Some of the covers for Vintage Classics Brief Encounter series (coming in July). Little information on the titles where they are not clearly already published however.

Sad to see that a film about an environmentalist uses AI (utterly unnecessarily), damaging the very environment its subject wanted to protect. (It's also very creepy, giving the faces an off-puttingly uncanny quality).

That's a somewhat...odd cover, I have to say.

Definitely a book to be experienced, but it is fun to see/examine how it's structured... a place and architecture in its own right!
