It has recently come to my attention that the phrase "Does that make sense?" could be interpreted as me doubting the other person's ability to understand what I said vs me doubting my own ability to explain what I mean. I am now haunted by potentially thousands of people I have unknowingly insulted.

Happy pride! I haven't done much for pride in recent years since I've been out for so long but I have decided this year I shall, at least, be a menace. Might even start saying "happy pride" as a salutation to strangers to piss off the "it's Merry Christmas not Happy Holidays 😠" crowd.

I have made the very brave decision to simply ✨abscond✨ from NYC during the World Cup in June. I don't even go into Manhattan that often but I don't want to risk it. One thing about me is if you say the wrong (right?) word or phrase to me—or sometimes even near me—you run the risk of activating a very long, unskippable cut scene of me rambling about the topic that key word/phrase unlocked in my brain.

Discovered a new disappointing use of AI: the projected backdrop of a musical. Totally cheapened the otherwise beautiful set and distracted from the wonderful performances. (And this wasn't a shoe string and paper clip production. They 100% could have afforded rights to images or to hire artists.)

Writing has freed me from so many of my fears. It has liberated me from the people and institutions who instilled those fears in me. And it has delivered me from the obliterating loneliness of hiding my real self from the world. Why in the world would I ever use AI? bit.ly/4udkKG8
