I would like to think the Mad King proclaiming “I will continue to illegally raise taxes on the American people until the NATO alliance collapses” would be the type of statement to cause Congress to act, but I’m not sure there’s any red line the GOP Congress has anymore.

Every time I share this extract at least one person says something like this & the book gets a new reader. So I keep sharing it. This is the book I waited my whole life to write & I know people love it. But the death of my ex-publisher almost killed it. This isn’t promotion. It’s resuscitation.

The American childhood vaccine schedule is similar to many of its European counterparts. Suggesting otherwise is a lie. And we aren’t Denmark. They have universal healthcare, low economic inequality, and low childhood poverty. The President should focus on addressing those differences first.

Most concerning to me is that few elected Republicans in Oregon see any downside in working together with violent far right extremists, or even letting them take the organizing lead like this. GOP voters don't take the threat of far right extremism seriously and so won't punish them for it.

I hope Congress acts asap to make this guidance ultimately unnecessary, but until then, offering some guidance and tips if you or a loved one’s care access is being impacted due to federal inaction.

I did a whole thread on favorite pictures but here's a life joy hack I also do: I changed the date of these two on my camera roll so every time I open it I see my 2 favorite pictures. Insta gratification that all the nonsense has been worth it. About 80 times a day.

Not one but two scary things here. First, most obviously: 100 million. Close to a 1/3 of U.S. now deemed not-American. Yes, it's trolling. Yes, AND. Second: It's simultaneously a nod toward an old imaginary white US, & an emptied out post-apocalypse. It's acknowledging the ambition is cataclysm.
