I'm pretty sure all the Oncologist at the cancer center I go to are on H1-b's if they haven't become citizens. I've never asked, nor have I ever cared what their immigration status is. They are all brilliant, and have been saving my life. And improving my health.

We need the government to clearly state that the doctors are the exempt from this rule. Every year, several thousands of new H1B are required for physicians, particularly for those working for rural areas.

Everything being discussed by this new vaccine committee has been discussed and well considered for years. Their revisiting of indications for the Measles Mumps Rubella Varicella combo vaccine and Hepatitis B isn’t radical transparency. It’s just flooding the zone with confusion and helps no one.

The Hepatitis B vaccine, given at birth, is done so for a very clear medical reason: to protect babies from exposure to a virus that can cause devastating chronic liver disease. Screening first was tried years ago and didn’t work - it’s why we vaccinate, so we don’t miss anyone.
