Robert Redford - đ˝ď¸ A Bridge Too Far (Richard Attenborough, 1977) This entrance must be seen to be believed. Redford was always at home bouncing off the worldâs other greatest actors, and few casts were ever this stacked. Somehow even a man this striking knew how to blend in and still stand out. RIP

Andy Devine - đ˝ď¸ Stagecoach (John Ford, 1939) The legendary raspy-voiced western character actor got a rare co-starring showcase early in his career, courtesy of Stagecoach favouring an ensemble group protagonist approach. Stage driver Buck opens the film and serves as one of its affable hearts.

Brendan Gleeson - đ˝ď¸ Song of the Sea (Tomm Moore, 2014) Cartoon Saloon movies are visual feasts, but one voice who brought the waterworks was Gleeson in his second Moore film. In two roles as Conor and Mac Lir (plus the Irish dub), his gruff grunts and mumbles convey a devastating, loving grief arc.

Chi McBride - đ˝ď¸ The Frighteners (Peter Jackson, 1996) Everyone brings their A-game in Jacksonâs horror-comedy, but McBrideâs permanently â70s-styled, shouting ghost is a real treat. He exists for jokes but has an emotional arc too, and lovely banter throughout with Michael J. Fox and Jim Fyfe.

Bruce Willis - đ˝ď¸ Fast Food Nation (Richard Linklater, 2006) Itâs one of Linklaterâs less seen movies of its era, but everyone tends to agree Willisâ scene is the highlight. As a fast food exec, his unflappably frank conversation with Greg Kinnear provides comic and satirical, uh, bite.

Robin Williamsâ daughter Zelda hits out at AI-generated videos of her dead father: âStop doing this to himâ
Film-maker tells the public to stop sending her videos, saying: âYouâre not making art, youâre making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beingsâ Zelda Williams, the daughter of the late actor and comedian Robin Williams, has spoken out against AI-generated content featuring her father. âPlease, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad,â Zelda wrote in an Instagram story on Monday. âStop believing I wanna see it or that Iâll understand, I donât and I wonât. If youâre just trying to troll me, Iâve seen way worse, Iâll restrict and move on. But please, if youâve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. Itâs dumb, itâs a waste of time and energy, and believe me, itâs NOT what heâd want. Continue reading...
