I hear and I see Org Roam, but it just kinda feels like too much overhead if all I want is just linked notes. I think I'm sticking with org-super-links for now.

I wanna watch more programming content on YouTube. But man, seems a lot of creators I've come across thread the line between dog-whistling alt-righters or "I only read Wikipedia as my source."

I became an AI skeptic bc the only cogent use cases AI boosters gave were, "a better search engine". but regular search engines already worked fine for 99% of people. the few folks who needed something more were like, me and my colleagues, none of whom found tremendous value in AI search tools

Like, I don't *hate* Markdown (the last 13ish years worth of my notes/posts have been written in some flavour of it.) But why has the side-pane rendering been the adopted paradigm to display it over WYSIWYG in a lot of editors?

It’s not about “purity politics” or whatever the current buzzword is, it’s about making sure that, at critical moments, you didn’t put up a popular coward who’ll fail every trolley problem they’re handed

If you’ve historically been a “vote blue no matter who” type, it’d be cool if you could use this moment to understand why vilifying leftists who actually do think it matters is basically a psyop you accidentally fell for. This is why people warn you about guys like Newsom.

An understated reason figures like Newsom are so dangerous is because what really advances the most violently reactionary parts of the American state aren't just the openly far-right rulers, it's their successors entrenching what they did. Newsom types aren't an end to fascism but its completion. 🧵
