Susan Jocelyn Bell Burnell (1943-) is a Northern Irish physicist who, while conducting research for her doctorate, discovered the first radio pulsars in 1967. This discovery earned the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1974, but not to her - the prize was awarded to her (male) supervisor.

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.

And formally provably so because to drive you need theory of mind. You can indeed show with maths the limits of maths since it's a formal engineered system with knowable limits, see Gödel etc. We created trains which ban humans from tracks so the system can be safely automated, not so for roads. 1/n

This is absolutely widespread and academics are doing this too. Degrading debasing and damaging our ability to award degrees that have any meaning. Sadly, students are graduating who abuse staff, plagiarise, and know they got away with it, and more. Shameful.

TED is one of the biggest enablers of this "AGI" scam, and one of the biggest ways to circle more money amongst more white dudes. Period. Why not do an "interview" with the myriads of traumatized, exploited workers and those protesting genocide enabled by so-called AI to discuss "safety"?
