Looking good a good tutorial on debugging with ghidra. I want to set breakpoints, change flow, and modify memory values. Is that possible?

📣THREAD: It’s surprising to me that so many people were surprised to learn that Signal runs partly on AWS (something we can do because we use encryption to make sure no one but you–not AWS, not Signal, not anyone–can access your comms). It’s also concerning. 1/

it's kinda weird that all the software i am expected to use for work are all written by distributed teams, go, python, postgres, linux, chrome, k8s etc and despite being told "the best teams work in an office together" i don't know of any software i use that's actually written that way

"I apologize" from AI tools really grinds my gears. An apology requires an understanding of what you did wrong, an understanding of how it affects the other party and a desire to do better. AI has none of these.

If you ask someone today to name the builder of Hadrian's Wall, they would give you a funny look. But historical memory is odd, and right up to the 1800s we forgot who built it. Until in 1840 John Hodgson, an obscure Northumbrian clergyman, published the LONGEST footnote in history... 1/22

Simply having a degree doesn't demonstrate aptitude, it demonstrates foundational knowledge. Someone with strong aptitude can learn more relevant experience in 1 year of work than a 4 year degree could teach. But someone who think they're already qualified won't learn anything at all. 3/4

Expect to see a lot more of this 👇 in the coming months & years. If Europe is at least pretending to have a serious conversation about life without a US security guarantee, then the same conversation has to be had about tech dependence on the US. Whether anything will happen is another matter.

This is an own goal for Team UK, leaving their own citizens less secure today than they were yesterday. Yet, while this may seem like a loss, it’s actually a win for global privacy & security. Still it’s deeply upsetting that the rights of UK citizens have become collateral damage in that fight. 4/4
