This was so many generations of Irish. One of my Dad's brothers went to England in the late 1950's .They parted ways on the docks in Dublin when he turned to my Dad and said, " I won't be back, Mick, and don't come looking for me." Dad always had tears in his eyes every time he recounted that story.
