K12 educators and families are protesting this as well. There are SO many schools in dense nyc neighborhoods. The proposed buffer zones would make it almost impossible to protest in some areas, and would ramp up the likelihood of unnecessary nypd involvement

I lost my grandpa on Jan 2. He was 97! He gave me my first real film camera and sparked my love of photography and my way of seeing the world, so sharing a photo in his memory seems fitting. <3

A decades-long municipal scandal that deserves far more attention than it gets: construction and capital projects in New York City schools are inconceivably expensive, never completed on time, and of shoddy, inferior quality. Another form of wealth extraction from the city to parts unknown.
