Listening to the school board presentation on the return of SROs, and one thing that caught my attention was that the process of getting the MOU in place is not up for further SB votes. Sure they'll have "listening" sessions but the school admin doesn't really have any checks on moving ahead

I come from a union family: my dad was a Vietnam veteran and my mom was a teaching assistant and proud WEAC member. I saw firsthand how organized labor gave our family stability, dignity, and opportunity. Those values shaped who I am today.

The Trump administration already figured out deportation is too expensive. Within a year we will read news stories about them being used for slave labor on farms, in meat processing plants, and other dangerous or labor-intensive work. They already do this in southern state prisons.

My grandmother came to the US the "right way" because Congress created legislation to allow her & tens of thousands of other war brides to immigrate after WW2. We solve the immigration "crisis" by creating legal pathways for people to come here not by criminalizing people for wanting a better life.
