We’re back! Day 6 of my TMNT Rejected Covers series. I’ve decided I’m only doing this on weekdays and taking the weekends off.

Last minute Scorpion/Mortal Kombat commission done for Free Comic Book Day. Somebody please let me draw Mortal Kombat comics.

Day 5 of my TMNT rejected covers series! So sometimes when I’m turning in roughs, I’ll throw in one that I’m pretty sure they aren’t going to pick, and this is one of them. Sometimes you get thrown a curveball and the publisher WILL actually pick that one, but luckily that wasn’t the case this time.

Day 4 of my Rejected TMNT covers series… And we’re STILL on issue 134. Maybe by the time I get to the end of this, I should compile it in a sketchbook? What do you all think?

Day 3 of my TMNT: Rejected Covers series. We’re still on issue 134, but it was my first stab at TMNT and I was trying to trick everyone at @idwpublishing.com to keep hiring me for turtles work, and they all fell for it. Mwahahah.

Welcome back for Day 2 of my TMNT “Rejected” cover series. Here’s another one for issue 134, when the turtle gang were neck deep in Armageddon Game facing off with the Rat King. This one is probably one of my favorites that I never took to finish.

Was going through some old files today and thought I’d show off some of my “rejected” covers for TMNT over the past couple years. Rejected isn’t necessarily the right word here… more like “not chosen”.

Been spending my time working very slowly on a personal project in my sketchbook. The plan is to do tight layouts of all 5 issues before I start final art. That way if a major gig comes in in the meantime I can put this aside and do that, but I’m having a very relaxing time working on this.
