Ash and G'raha being genuinely good friends, funny enough- I initially thought Ash wouldn't care much for G'raha, feel that he's doing too much, he's lied too much etc. and while that was her first impression of the Exarch, she had to admire his stubborness and dedication by the end of everything.

I'd say the only time Ash genuinely partook in gleeful slaughter out of years of hate and repressed trauma was against Thordan and the Heaven's Ward. The hatred was personal to begin with, then she learned of Ratatoskr, and then Haurchefant's and Ysayle's deaths were the final nails in the coffin.

Ari and Ash both mainly earn gil through mercenary work and bounties on criminals and nasty beasties. Ari does have an additional income due to their skill in forging firearms and odd weapons, but that's a very "under the table" kind of business for a specific type of vetted client.
