1/5 Kara Sea Activity Caveat: Preliminary findings. On October 28th, when the Poseidon test was conducted according to Putin, there were 6 unidentified ships off the eastern coast of Novaya Zemlya, Kara Sea. No NOTAM, no PRIP, but well off the path for any civilian traffic.

Been a lot of RUMINT about Khabarovsk over the years but perhaps something is happening soon.

Russian annual strategic nuclear forces exercise Grom estimate: Looks like we will see SS-N-23 from the Barents Sea and Yars ICBM from Plesetsk. Long Range Aviation participation is highly likely but haven't seen any signs of PACFLT Bulava. Will likely happen tomorrow or alternatively Thursday.

The Seahawk cooperation with Denmark is bearing fruits, as preparation for receiving our own helos from next year onwards.

A reminder that October is the month for annual nuclear exercises, both Russian and NATOs. On schedule = good. This is normal and does not directly reflect tensions. Don't buy into fear mongering. When Grom gets postponed, that's the time to get suspicious.

Looks like we have the first indicator for Grom, between the 20th and 24th. This PRIP is consistent with SS-N-23 from the Barents Sea to Kura. H/T La_souris_DA on the other site.

The current Barents NOTAM situation. Something appears to be going on, or coming over the weekend, but don't think it's Grom yet. Certain elements are missing for that and it's also a bit early in the month.

🔺OOA activity - Update Russian Navy Baltic Fleet tug "Yakov Grebelskiy" which conducted STROG westbound with B-261 “Novorossiysk”, 26 September 2025, returned to the Mediterranean Sea, overnight. ⚠️It could not be determined if Kilo B-261 "Novorossiysk" also returned to the Mediterranean Sea.

There are some rumors regarding the Kilo-class SSK Novorossiysk circulating, that I recommend being very sceptical of.
