14/31 - Ryan McGinley Another icon of the 2010s!! His work ooozes with freedom, creativity, and delight! I'm super inspired by the movement in his photographs, capturing bodies writhing in pleasure and joy.

13/31 - Michael Bailey Gates Been following his work for years, since we were both on flickr as teenagers. It’s always been so inventive and surreal. His work now is much more sleek and simplified, but the compositions and continual emphasis on queer perspectives draw the through-line.

12/31 - Justine Kurland Justine's work "Girl Pictures" truly changed the trajectory of my photography. In this work, she went all across the country, just showing up in small towns and recruiting teens to enact scenes of youthful play, care, and recklessness.

11/31 - saul leiter my favorite street photographer of all time. these perfect compositions depict the aliveness of the everyday.
