Just started the testing on version 3 sand battery. 200w solar panel, 16 ft. of 18ga nichrome wire woven through 40 gallons of sand, and the walls of the container insulated with 1.5" plaster. We'll see if this is trusted or busted!

I Just started reading Pauline Maier's "From Resistance to Revolution". I've never read this author before, and I'm only on chapter 2, but so far this book is passing the test: I have to stop reading periodically and think. I really like her writing style, too.

This morning's wake-up song. These wake-up songs are chosen for me by a system that handles a lot of stuff. One of its 'jobs' is to evaluate my physical stats (heart rate, activity levels, breathing) as well as my mental state, based on my posts, emails, calendar, etc.

And now I have another descriptive word to add to my profile!

I know when I am eating right when I have one bag of garbage every 3-4 weeks, rather than weekly. The shift to only self-prepared, vegan dishes has made a huge difference in garbage output. Any waste from my preparation is put in the biodigester and becomes gas, and amazing liquid fertilizer.
