One thing that is wild about working for the federal government right now is how much open contempt leadership has for rank and file employees, and how vocal they are with it. They are constantly telling us how worthless and lazy they think we are. It feels actually insane.

Truly one of the most dogshit aspects of being an adult with responsibilities, in [waves around] this reality, is not being able to rage quit a totally awful job. The psychic toll of showing up every day to a place you hate, doing work you hate, for a boss you hate, is crushing.
