Damn, I ramble long enough here, and now I'm thinking about Virtua Fighter 3. Everyone talks about it being a misstep in gameplay and all that. But like, holy shit, in 1996, 3D games were not looking or running as good as Virtua Fighter 3. Sega spent way too much money and R&D time on that.

Think a lot about the amazing load time improvements between NeoGeo CD models cause it went from a 1x to 2x CD drive.

Always thinking about how one of the major reasons Nintendo stuck with cartridges for the N64 was that CD drives were still kinda expensive during its development, but then the N64 got delayed just long enough that once it came out CD drives started getting cheaper.
