I finally found an actual use for CoPilot! When updating a file on GitHub (e.g., a readme file), the AI summarises the changes so i don't have to write a commit message. It does a good job. That's about 20 seconds saved today :-) (it took me 3 minutes to write this post)

Before my introductory #stats lecture tomorrow, I uploaded a graph to Copilot #AI & asked for its expert statistical analysis. Last year it failed (35%) - wrong on most counts. This year it produced a more reasonable-looking answer & in great detail, but most of the detail was wrong, or poor. 55%.

I remember learning in my undergraduate degree - in ~1996 - that Huntington's was the first movement disorder to be given a clear explanation. It has a *relatively* simple genetic cause, compared to the others. 30 years on, a breakthrough treatment. Good science takes time, but it can really work.
