Concert tickets are reasonably priced when adjusting for inflation, it’s one of the few things that is just as cheap to do in SF as every other city. BUT LiveNation’s monopolization of venues, screwy “service fees“, encouragement of scalping etc. has made a lot of concert-going prohibitive.

I’ve been following new music in fine detail for a few years now and whether coincidence or not, it’s undeniable that similar sort-of acts release their stuff at the same time (ex. every SIRUP and iri single has come out on the same day despite being on different labels). I don’t know why this is.
