I don’t want to imply anything because my experience is so limited with furries in Japan… But the warmth and inclusiveness of my American, Canadian, and British friends is maybe something I’ve taken for granted all these years.

Excuse me while I wallow in self pity after learning Japanese for 3 years, finally being able to come for a whole month, and not being able to eat anything. What’s the point in exploring a culture if you can’t participate in it. Heh… The worst part is that I knew this would happen.

Japanese food is amazing as expected. It really sucks that gluten free is not really a thing here though. Basically just shooting in the dark even if there is an “allergy menu”. On the other hand, Shonen Jump is ¥300 at Family Mart… So maybe the exchange is worth it 😆

I did end up “finishing” the cat/tiger suit just before the trip. It’s still pretty rough and desperately needs new hair, a tail, and a bodysuit, but for 2 weeks of work I’m happy.
