Dealing with my high visual empathy in this game was tough, but I found a workaround: analyzing the dev side. I blocked out the gore by asking myself, "How is this shader coded?" or "What's the logic behind this glitch text?"

Since Casualties: Unknown was available for download on Steam and the Japanese language patch was easy to apply, I gave it a try for about two hours.

New mix is out! I was literally DJing while the fiber optic installation was happening. This is a chill house set to commemorate the epic moment I finally got 10Gbps. Needless to say, I could not focus at all. It was total chaos.

My joy at saying, “That was delicious” was short-lived a large amount of oil had splattered all over my ThinkPad, and now I’m at a loss as to how to clean it😭

I spent about five days playing around with face tracking on Furality. Today, after finishing my remote work period, I went into the office and was chatting with my colleagues. They asked me why I had a grin on my face. Face tracking has given me a weird habit.

Worked with the Furality translation team again this year. A huge thank you to everyone who came out. Can’t believe it’s already been 5 years since I started staff here. Hope to see you all again next time!

Face tracking in VRChat lets you convey emotions so much faster than expression parameters alone. But now you have to think like an actor, consciously working your facial muscles. And to actually look cool, you need to exaggerate a little.

Every time I attend Furality or a convention, I realize just how much Japan has influenced the community. You’re bound to find something Japanese there.

When I stopped working 14 hours a day, I was disheartened to realize just how little a person can actually do when living a normal life. At the same time, I feel a sense of responsibility to keep myself in check so I don’t burn out.

Today, I handled a few tasks related to an event, then went to another event to check out corporate booths, where I tried out new products and studied their specifications closely. After that, I had dinner with some colleagues. I’m exhausted from all the walking, so I think I’ll sleep well tonight.
