Republicans spent the entire hearing accusing Jack Smith of prosecuting Trump for political reasons and falsely claiming he was being directed by Biden and Garland. Ironically, while they were doing that, Trump was telling Bondi on Truth Social that she should prosecute Smith.

This is pure, unabashed bigotry. If a politician said this about any other faith, they would rightfully be run out of their party. But this kind of despicable anti-Muslim rhetoric is so normalized that a sitting Senator uses it without consequence. A stain on our Congress.

I want to break down and cry for this country right now. For the people that are hiding in their homes, for those that have watched the government steal their families from them, the constant fear we all live in today — we are in this together. Don't feel like you're alone.
